This week Venture Hive hosted Startup Grind with guest speaker Daniel Cane from Modernizing Medicine. With a $1.6 billion dollar exit under his belt with his first business, Blackboard, Mr. Cane shared his story as an entrepreneur and answered questions to a room full of interested listeners. Modernizing Medicine won the first annual eMerge Techweek Launch Competition in the late-stage category in May and donated the $100,000 in prizes to Venture Hive, FIU and other organizations that have programs and plans in place to help and launch startups.
